45: New Yorker

Today marks the anniversary of the founding of the New Yorker magazine.  What better way to celebrate it than sampling its iconic typography? 

Hold the pen at 30° and at 0°.

  1. This is really surprisingly lovely. I wouldn't have thought to use a magazine's design as a foundation for a calligraphy hand, but as I sit here reading your post, I wonder why not!? :) I love it!

    I really like the double W with the two middle strokes. Striking.
