I like calligraphy done with a writing implement that is not designed for the task. The grease pencil is designed to stick to perfectly smooth surfaces, the source of its name China Marker. It's softer than a child's crayon, and also more intensely pigmented. Here it is used on regular copier paper.
Marcel Duchamp says "tools that are no good require more skill." I truly believe the wrong tool for the job has a lot to teach.
