Thoughts on translation, part 9.6: Cast a spell

 Song of Songs, Which is Solomon's: timeless love poetry in contemporary calligraphy. 

Topic Six:  A small detail but not trivial.  Even though the King James Version is an automatic choice as well as a sentimental favorite for many people, occasionally its English words have to be re-spelt, (that is re-spelled) for American readers.  Think favour, realise.  At least, keep your spelling the same from chapter to chapter.   

I wanted to avoid obvious British forms, as they slow down the reader and can create an incongruous British accent in the mind’s ear.
